I have a sweet tooth, and I am proud of it. So imagine my delight during my August press trip to Nashville when I was introduced to not only the Goo Goo Cluster, but to Premium Goo Goo Clusters, created by some of Nashville’s best chefs.
The Goo Goo Cluster is a historic candy, as it was the world’s first combination candy, invented in 1912.
I’ve written about the classic and the special premiums for Paste Magazine: Limited edition gourmet Goo Goo Clusters.
During my visit I also got to dine at the restaurants of two of the chefs featured in this year’s collection of gourmet Goo Goos: Hattie B’s Hot Chicken and Martin’s BAR-B-QUE Joint. Southern deliciousness!
I’ve more stories about Nashville, including about a collection of rare vintage Italian cars at the Frist Center and, soon, about my hilariously difficult attempt at walking in 1/6 earth gravity at Nashville’s Adventure Science Center.
