Once we have agreed on a story, please submit your work by email — include the text in the body of the email (with hyperlinks and with URLs typed separately) and attach the photos. Send to TravelEater.Info @ gmail . com. You can also use Google Drive. Please don’t embed the photos in your text or send me a Word attachment. Please put all information, including your bio, in one email.
Depending on the length of your post, I will need 3-5 photos that you have the rights to publish (preference for your own photos, if you don’t have them, please explain why). Each photo needs to be under 1MB. I’ll need a caption and attribution info for each photo.
Please include a bio of about 1 paragraph, with links your personal website and other social media sites. You can include a photo of yourself if you like.
I’m all for showcasing stuff you love and think others would want to try, but if anything you submit comes across as too much like an advertisement, I will either adjust the wording or not publish it. I may edit links you suggest in your article. If your request looks like spam or is essentially to put a free ad on my website, I’ll ignore your email.
I can’t guarantee that I will publish your post — it needs to meet my quality standards.
Note: I get a lot of requests asking for the opportunity to write a guest post on topics that have little or nothing to do with travel and food, and requests that are really just asking me to publish a free ad for their business. On top of that, many of these are poorly written, full of typos and grammatical errors. Many give no indication of legitimacy because they are signed by a first name only and have no links to their own website and social media accounts. I won’t respond to any of these types of requests. You need to prove to me that you’re not a spammer.
