I took my first trip to Costa Rica in August 2018.
While the food, beaches, hot springs, ziplines, and wildlife were amazing, the most fascinating part of the trip was that I got to interview about a dozen centenarians on the Nicoya Peninsula.
They live in one of the world’s five Blue Zones, where people live exceptionally long and healthy lives. Stay tuned for articles about them, including about integrating my travel writer life with the work that I do for the Government of Canada about wellness and stress management.
