I’ve done a surprising amount of hiking in the past year, in countries ranging from China to Iceland and, most recently, Uganda.
The longest hike was the 10-day West Highland Way in Scotland (and yes, I took a couple days off, thanks to bruised toes!)
My first article on the Scottish hike was for Montecristo Magazine: Scotland’s West Highland Way.
There’s more on Scotland on the Scotland page.
If you’re into hiking, you’ll want to read my hiking article for Australia’s UrbanSweat Magazine: Our pick of the best hikes in southeastern China, about some stunning scenic hikes in Hunan, Jiangxi and Fujian provinces.
And stay tuned for more hiking stories. I know you’ll want to read about the most arduous but worthwhile hike I’ve ever done — to see the mountain gorillas in Uganda!
