Hotel for bees?! Sustainable tourism in Whistler (for Canadian World Traveller)

P1260197.JPGMy favourite hotels are the ones that treat their guests, AND their employees, AND the local community, AND the environment all well.

A tall order? Perhaps, but many hotels, large and small, expensive and not, manage to pull it off.

With so many travel choices out there, hotels and tourism businesses that opt for responsible travel (AKA sustainable travel) have a cutting edge above the rest.

Here’s a profile I wrote for Canadian World Traveller about the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, a hotel that goes above and beyond to treat everyone well, yup, even by creating hotels for bees in their roof garden (helps make sure those raspberries in their delicious chocolates get pollinated!):

Planning a trip to Whistler? Whether you go in winter or summer, there’s tons to do there. Read more via the Canada page.
